School Admissions

The Challenge Academy Trust is the admitting authority for Great Sankey Primary School and must allocate places in accordance with its determined admissions arrangements. Arrangements for academic year 2020/2021 are the same as those published for admissions to the school last academic year.

To view the school’s admission policies, please visit: https://www.warrington.gov.uk/info/201094/school_admissions/673/determined_admission_arrangements

The local authority is responsible for co-ordinating all admissions to the school. Parents considering sending their child to Great Sankey Primary School should contact Warrington Borough Council's school admissions team on 01925 446226 or by emailing schooladmissions@warrington.gov.uk.

Once you have spoken with the school admissions team, the Headteacher or a member of the Senior Leadership Team at our school will be happy to arrange a visit for you and your child to come and look around.

More information about in-year admissions (transferring your child from one school to another) is available by visiting the Council’s website via the link below:

The majority of our learners transfer to Penketh High School with some also leaving us to go to Great Sankey High School and St. Gregory's High School. We work very closely with all high schools across a number of areas with the primary focus on a smooth, effective trnsition for our pupils.
