Parent's Forum
Education is always more successful when a school works closely with parents and carers. We are always keen to hear your views. The school holds PFA coffee mornings or as stand alone meetings.
Regular consultation with parents is really important to us and the Parents' Forum provides a valuable way for you to communicate and for us to listen to your ideas and concerns, seek your views and ensure we are meeting the needs of our pupils.
There is an open invitation to all parents and carers to attend the Parents' Forum although we do try to encourage representation from across every class. Meeting times vary throughout the year to try to accommodate as many people as possible.
If you would like to attend a Parents' Forum, please contact Mrs Vaughan on 01925 728176 or email admin@greatsankeyprimary.warrington.sch.uk- please request any items/issues that you would like us to add to the agenda. All meetings are promoted on the newsletter, Twitter, Facebook and on our website.
Although not a decision making body, the forum has the opportunity to influence decisions through an open dialogue. The agenda items are suggested by parents as well as by the school and through our meetings.
Issues that have been discussed at the forum include:
- School development planning
- Cost of school trips
- Parents' Evenings
- School policies
- Curriculum changes
- School dinners
- School values
- Homework Policy
- Changes to assessments
Feedback from the Parents' Forum is included in school letters which are distributed to all parents.
