Welcome to Lime Tree Class - Miss. Aspinall

Welcome to the Lime Tree Class Page!

During the term we will continue with developing our reading, writing and number skills in a variety of ways.

The children will bring home reading and phonics homework each week, and we would appreciate your continued support with this. It is important that the children read daily, and that you write in their yellow reading journals, you can communicate any queries through these, we will try to get back to you as quickly as possible. We are also available at the end of each school day if you would like to talk to us.

The children continue to do a weekly P.E. lesson on a Tuesday, please could you ensure that all clothes are named.

Thank you.

Please also remember to follow us on Twitter.  We would also love to hear about activities the children do outside school, the children really enjoy sharing their experiences with the rest of their class. @lime_class

P.E day in Reception is Tuesday. Children come to school dressed in their kit and remain in it all day.

What are we learning about?

We are currently learning about hibernation. We are reading a fabulous book called 'Ridiculous' in which Shelley the tortoise doesn't want to hibernate, she wants to go and find out more about Winter.

The children have loved making hibernation shelters, we have found out lots of information anout tortoises and other animals that hobernate.

Did you know that some tortoises hibernate in the fridge? We found this very funny!
