Autumn Term - This term our topic takes a historical focus as we learn all about life from the Ancient Greeks. We will learn about what life was like during the Ancient Greek times and reflect upon what aspects of our lives today started off during this period in history - one of the most famous being the Olympics!

Ancient GreeksHow To Liver Forever

Please find below some information about the topics your children will be learning in the different subjects across this term:

Autumn Maths - In Maths we will be learning about place value and number over the first few weeks; ensuring we are confident with the value of digits, being able to order and compare numbers as well as recognising what happens to numbers that are below and smaller than 0. Later in the term we will move on to the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Autumn English - In English we are starting with the text 'How To Live Forever' which is a picture book by Colin Thompson. We will be writing descriptions inspired by the beautiful illustrations and debating the topic of whether it would really be a good idea to live forever.

Autumn Science - In Science this term we will be learning about Light and how we see things. We will learn about how shadows are formed and about how light travels.

Reminder: On Wednesday 11th September it is our whole school trip to Croxteth Hall and Gardens. If you can help out and come along with us - please speak to Mr Gawne.
